The M1710 arrived this morning and was immediately returned to sender as
promised. I have been very consistent in stating that another 17-inch laptop
could not functionally replace my Gen2. In fact, a long list of factors goes
into every laptop I buy. It is a continuous learning process, never as
simplistic as picking a laptop the same size as the last. That is what you
attempted to do, however. No attempt was made to even gather my requirements
so any laptop selected by you was automatically a guess, and a probable
waste of time.
Of course I am the loser in this contest of wills. Dell really doesn’t want
my business. I am reduced to using a five-year-old laptop with no service
contract. I will have no choice but to stop functioning when it does. If I
still worked, I’d at least have the resources to possibly pursue this matter
further. I don’t, naturally.
If, by some miracle, Dell wishes to continue to seek a mutually beneficial
resolution, new liaisons will be needed. I have no faith remaining that you
or Nancy have any real desire to assist me. I sincerely miss a former Dell
employee, Alecea Standlee.
