RE: computer crash = help!!

I think it was a Labrador paw. Labs can be fun, and my mom has two.
The real problem is that she and her husband share one large desk that was
never meant for computers. They have two complete laptop rigs with wired
printers so under the desk is a pool of cables and cords. Just the place for a
bored Lab leg to cause havoc.

I also have two dogs and even more cabling. Fortunately,  my
dogs aren’t Labs, and learn quickly.

Hello,

With moving the computer to another location, can it very verified
to cause the issue.  Do you think it was the electrical outlet or maybe
the power adapter just needed to be reset (unplugging an adapter will
automatically reset it)?

For some reason, the computer was not getting power from the power
cord.  Maybe a dog had loosened the connection by bumping it. Anyway, we
moved the computer to the kitchen and reattached it.  Seems to be working
ok and the battery has so for recharged up to 70%.  Think it will be ok.
We will keep checking it.

Oh dear, I don’t even know which model of Dell you bought.
That makes playing house IT staff difficult. Does the pack have a green light
on it? Is the light lit? As you know, I’m not sanguine about your guru.

However, Richard may have some thoughts.

Mine
just died after numerous shutdowns, then a msg. that the battery was seriously
low.  Everything is plugged in – not supposed to be drawing off
battery.  Could the power pack be faulty?  Any suggestions
welcome.  Hate to have to call out the guru tomorrow evening.

Pat,
Dale’s sister is here and we’ve had a great visit.  Took her
to the Museum yesterday for the Shanghai and “Lucy” exhibits and
are off to the zoo in the morning before she leaves later that day.

Appreciate
any ideas.
